Claim status your clients can see, coming soon
Client Portal is meant to give the people you serve a client-facing view of status, messages, and documents on the cases you choose to share — coming soon as a PaxExact module, though a version of it already runs in production today for the operation PaxExact was built inside.
What's real today
- Client Portal as a PaxExact module is coming soon — partially built, not yet something another organization can turn on.
- A claimant-facing portal with status, a timeline, messages, and documents already runs in production, but only for the specific operation PaxExact was originally built inside.
- Per-organization branding and domains are built. The portal still reads that operation's claim records, not PaxExact cases or estimates, so an organization that runs its work in PaxExact would have nothing to show its clients yet.
- Client Portal is optional: nothing in Estimate or Claim Adjustment requires it.
What exists today, and what doesn't yet
It's worth being precise here, because the honest answer is neither 'not built' nor 'available.' A claimant portal — status, a timeline, messages, documents — runs in production today, but only for one operation: the business PaxExact was originally built inside. That's real, working software, not a mockup. Per-organization branding and domains for that portal are also built. What isn't done yet: it reads only the original operation's claim records, not PaxExact cases or estimates; it can be switched on for an organization only by PaxExact staff, with no PaxExact module entitlement or purchase path; and there is no approval step for clients.
So if you're evaluating PaxExact as a new customer, Client Portal is coming soon for you specifically — meaning the underlying portal is proven in production, and the main remaining work is connecting it to PaxExact case records and giving organizations a way to turn it on, not inventing it from scratch.
What it's meant to show a client
The intended shape mirrors what's already running: a client sees where their claim or case stands, exchanges messages and documents relevant to it, and answers what the adjuster asks for — all scoped to the specific case you share, not a general view into your operation. None of that requires the client to use PaxExact directly for estimating; it's a read-and-respond layer built around the case you're already managing.
What a shared case is meant to expose to a client
Optional, on purpose
Client Portal is an add-on, not a requirement. PaxExact Estimate and Claim Adjustment both work completely without it — plenty of firms will never need a client-facing view and shouldn't have to adopt one to use the rest of the platform. Add it when direct client visibility is something your operation actually wants, not because it's assumed to be part of the base product.
That matters for how you should read this page: nothing here should be treated as a prerequisite for getting value from PaxExact today. A public adjuster or restoration contractor can run Estimate and Claim Adjustment fully, case after case, and never turn on a client-facing view — the case file export already gives you something to hand a client directly if that's all you need.
Why this is coming soon rather than planned
It's worth distinguishing Client Portal from a module that's purely on the roadmap. A 'planned' capability, elsewhere on this site, means not built — no working software exists yet. Client Portal is further along than that: the underlying product runs in production every day, handling real status updates and real messages for real claimants. The gap isn't invention, it's generalization — taking software built around one operation's claim records and making it serve any PaxExact organization's clients.
Part of that generalization is done: the per-organization branding, domains and separation a portal shared across many organizations needs are built. What remains: it reads only the original operation's claim records, not PaxExact cases or estimates; it can be switched on for an organization only by PaxExact staff, with no PaxExact module entitlement or purchase path; and there is no approval step for clients. Treat coming soon as a realistic middle ground: closer than a roadmap idea, not yet something you can turn on this week.
FAQ
Frequently asked
Can my clients log into a portal today?
Not yet, if you're a new PaxExact organization. A claimant portal runs in production, but only for the specific operation PaxExact was built inside, and it reads that operation's claim records rather than PaxExact cases. Making it available to other organizations is coming soon.
Is this built from scratch or does it already exist?
It already exists and runs in production for one operation — status, a timeline, messages, and documents — and per-organization branding is built. What's coming is connecting it to PaxExact cases and giving other PaxExact customers a way to turn it on as a module; a client approval step is not built.
Do I have to use Client Portal?
No. It's optional. PaxExact Estimate and Claim Adjustment both work fully without a client-facing portal.
